Update (November 2010) The clip below is a low-resolution cut from the intro of Danny's video Shinjido - A New Fighting Style. The clip shows a video collage of some of Danny's Shinjido techniques. The full high quality video explains all these techniques and more with step-by-step instructions on how you can use Shinjido to improve your game.
Danny has a unique approach to the grappling arts which make this DVD unlike anything else in the Fighting Films archives. It contains a feast of new and highly effective skills - inspired by Judo, Aikido, Tai Chi, Genghis Khan and a passion for jelly babies. A Judo 6th Dan and European Silver medalist, Aikido 4th Dan, and boxing champion, Danny's vast martial arts experience combines into a fighting style he calls Shinjido, or 'Danny's way'. On this DVD Danny shows Shinjido techniques devised for use in competitive Judo and self defence situations. Danny is joined by his friends, 1981 World Champion and double Olympic Silver medalist Neil Adams, who coaches a session on transference, and Barcelona Olympic Silver medalist Ray Stevens who demonstrates some highly original Judo Newaza techniques. Comments from this, the first High Wycombe Shinjido course, include: "I have learnt more today than I have in all the years I have done Judo." and "I never knew you could have so much fun on the mat." In additon to video from the seminar the video featues: additional techniques, Interview with the Master, off the mat and much more. This DVD could have healing powers.
